Tattered Teddy Lovers....The story of Louie
I awoke this morning with an uneasy feeling. Unable to shake it and with no chance of falling back to sleep I was up early today. Shuffling down the hallway with my eye lids at half staff , I fumbled for the coffee pot. As I made my way to the living room I settled in to enjoy that first cup of the day. Propping my feet up and snuggling into my favorite spot with the perfect view of the fire place and Christmas tree, I couldn't help the satisfied sigh that softly slipped from my lips. Mmmm, I do love my mornings. Raising my cup, my gaze scanned the Christmas tree. Colorful packages and cheery lights greet me. As my eyes adjusted through the steam of my first cup of coffee , I realized that something was missing. LOUIE! Louie is not there, leaning on that pretty red package. What!?!? Where could he be? Why would he leave?? In my search of the house I glanced out the door towards the drive way...and there he was. I slipped on my shoes, and headed out. There he was, huddled on the bench at the end of the drive. Waiting for his Forever Family...I took his hand and as we took that long walk back to the warmth of the house and the cozy spot under my Christmas tree, I promised him that it won't be long now. Won't you be Louie's family?

Tattered Teddy Rescue
Morning Friends!
Today is the first day the Briar Patch introduces you to some new friends. Meet Louie, our first guest to be featured on the Tattered Teddy Rescue website. This is where we showcase tattered, discarded teddy bears that have come here to rest. We found Louie alone and sad, tossed to the bottom of a long forgotten toy box. Children grow up and stop needing the company of fuzzy furry little friends, but Teddy's never change. They wait until the time is right then they appear, like magic again in the life of a child. Patched back together by loving hands, they are ready to show a tiny little heart how to love. Nothing makes you feel better than something soft to hold. Louie, as you can see is still a little shy and insecure after being left behind for so long. He's waiting here at the bottom of the Christmas tree, waiting for a new forever home. Does any one want a gently tattered teddy?
